Elvis Presley Pound Cake

A classic Southern treat that lives up to its legendary name. Rich and heavy, this cake is sure to please. Serve with fruit, whipped cream, ice cream, or nothing at all – it’s that delicious!

Serves
8-10

Ingredients

3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter, softened
7 eggs at room temp.
3 c. cake flour, sifted
1 c. whipping cream
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine sugar and butter in bowl of electric mixer. Beat on medium speed until creamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
  4. Stir in 1 1/2 c. of flour and add whipping cream.
  5. Beat in remaining flour and vanilla. Pour into buttered loaf pans.
  6. Bake for 1 hour or until done.
