Fresh Apple Pie

6-8

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
3 c. Granny Smith apples, sliced thin
1/2 c. orange juice
1 tbsp. flour
1 stick butter
1 unbaked pie shell

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine juice, apples, butter, and ½ cup of sugar in a saucepan. Cook over stovetop until tender.
  3. Mix together flour and remaining ½ c. sugar. Stir into apple mixture. Cook until thickened. 
  4. Pour mixture into uncooked pie shell. Top with pastry shell if desired.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown, about 45-50 minutes.
