Old-Fashioned Chess Pie

A simple recipe, yet incredibly delicious. This understated, classic Southern treat is sure to delight. Perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
t tbsp. cornmeal
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 c. melted butter
4 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. milk
1 unbaked pie shell

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Mix together sugar, meal, vinegar, and butter
  3. Add the remaining ingredients to sugar mixture and mix well.
  4. Pour mixture into 9″ unbaked pie shell.
  5. Bake approximately 50 minutes.
