Ingredients
2 Granny Smith apples 2 pkg. 8-count crescent roll dough 1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 c. butter | 1 c. sugar 1/4 c. brown sugar Half a can of lemon lime soda 1 tsp. vanilla |
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease an 8″ square baking dish.
- Peel and core apples then cut into eights.
- Unroll and separate crescent roll dough.
- Wrap each apple section in a crescent roll and place in pan.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Combine butter, sugar, and vanilla in a medium saucepan.
- Bring to a boil. Quickly then remove from heat to prevent mixture from becoming caramel.
- Pour over dumplings. Then pour soda over the rolls in the pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes covered and then for another 15 minutes uncovered or until dough is golden brown.
